We require appropriate dance wear for all classes. There will be no loose fit clothing and no jeans allowed. Students arriving to class without appropriate dance wear and shoes may be asked to observe rather than participate. Students do not learn properly when they are not prepared for class. Teachers are unable to see your child’s alignment or positioning when they are wearing loose fitting clothes. Alignment and positioning are fundamental elements of learning to dance properly.

• Students are required to wear any combination of items from the following list: tights, leotard, ballet skirt, jazz pants, fitted dance top/tank top, crop top, fitted dance  shorts, or leggings. All CSDC ballet students are encouraged to wear a leotard and tights to ballet class.

• Proper shoes are also required and can be purchased from several locations (Hammers or Claytons) or ordered from Discount Dance Supply (at Discount Dance, use my code. Please do not come to dance wearing Chacos, Crocs, or any kind of sandal, dress shoe, or boot. Required shoes must be purchased no later than March 1st to have in time for Spring Recital pictures. Please see me for a list of required shoes.

• All long hair must be pulled back away from the face and if you have bangs that hang in your face, they must be bobby pinned back.
